Therapy laser

The Animal Medical and Surgical Clinic is proud to provide our patients with therapeutic laser treatments to speed healing and relieve pain. Companion Therapy Laser is a non-invasive, drug-free, pain-free technology that allows your pet to heal more quickly after surgery or traumatic injury.  Treatment eases pain and improves mobility for a better quality of life.

Disorders that respond to laser therapy include:

  • Arthritis
  • Hip Dysplasia
  • Numerous Skin Conditions
  • Post Surgical Pain Relief & Increased Healing
  • Otitis (ear infections & inflammation)
  • Wound Healing
  • Degenerative Joint Disease
  • Gingivitis
  • Insect Bites/Stings
  • Lacerations/Abrasions
  • Strains/sprains
  • Abscesses
  • Burns

The therapy laser uses deep penetrating light to reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, and encourage the release of endorphins. In effect, this stimulates the injured cells to heal at a faster rate while decreasing stimulation of the nerve endings that are responsible for the perception of pain.
