Animal Medical & Surgical Clinic is proud to be the veterinarians of choice for the Nekoosa Police Department K-9 unit. Officer Berg and Ivo are a team trained in drug detection tracking. Ivo is a German Shepard from the Czech Republic. In support of the Nekoosa Police Department we provide Ivo with consistent wellness care to maintain good health. We also provide other health services for Ivo as needed.
We are happy to work with local students from Central Cities Health Institute and Lincoln High School throughout the year. Students join us as a job shadow to learn more about our profession and CCHI students rotate through our clinic as part of their internship program. It is a pleasure to share our love for animals and health care with them.
Dr. Ponce gives back to the community through her work with the American Legion Auxiliary. Their mission is to support programs for veterans, young people and the community. They model patriotism and citizenship as leaders through serving others.
In addition to the auxiliary, Dr. Ponce is a member of the American Legion Riders of Wisconsin.
They provide escorts for military units, color guard for ceremonies and fund raising for wounded warriors and countless charities!
The Animal Medical & Surgical Clinic supports SWCHS in many ways. We sponsor the Pet of the Week ad in the City Times to help showcase adoptable pets. Our employees support the local shelter in a variety of ways.
Tammy and Polly walked in the 2019 5K9 Walk-Run to raise money to help provide for the many animals sheltered at SWCHS.
Kelly donates goods and volunteers her time and skills at the shelter whenever she can .
